BODYMAKER MECHANIC (SUDRONIC TECHNICIAN)

ROLE PURPOSE

Lead the setting of and operating the Soudronic welder in the correct manner whilst
achieving laid down quality, efficiency and spoilage standards.
Lead the routine maintenance schedule for bodymaker and auxiliary equipment such as the
Side Seam Powder applicator and Curing Oven.
Lead the changeover on the welder and the side seam protection systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures all Soudronic Bodymakers are in good running condition by putting in place a better maintenance program.

• Initiates ordering of necessary spare and wearable parts.

• Make sure all activities made on the machine are well documented such as monitoring the life of each roller head, shafts, suction cups, etc.

• Ensures to impart his knowledge and skills to Soudronic Operators.

• The position of a Soudronic Mechanic calls for eagerness and ability to comprehend general maintenance in all aspects of maintenance program.

• This entails ensuring the maintenance of production and quality by guaranteeing the smooth operation of all Soudronic Welders inside the factory.

• Completes preventive maintenance prerequisites on Soudronic welders like motors, conveyors, pneumatic tools and drives thereby ensuring smooth operation of the machine.
• Follows Soudronic instructions, engineering specifications, sketches, operation manuals, and diagrams, to diagnose and troubleshoot abnormalities.
• Identifies sources of complications by observing mechanical devices while in operation and tune in for issues by utilizing accuracy and inspection instruments.
• In charge of performing troubleshooting tasks and repair works on but not limited to Soudronic Welders.
• All other jobs and functions that the superior may deemed necessary

PERSON SPECIFICATION

QUALIFICATIONS

Graduate in Mechanical Engineering/Electrical Engineering preferred but not necessary

EXPERIENCE

With 4 years of experience in Soudronic welder as mechanic and/or tech.

ROLE PURPOSE

To set up and operate the printing / coating machines and auxiliary equipment efficiently.  Controlling the lithographed product to conform to required quality parameter standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible to set and operate the metal decorating and auxiliary equipment in the correct manner whilst achieving laid down quality, efficiency, and spoilage standards.

• Monitor printing and auxiliary equipment condition and carry out and record routine maintenance requirements.

• Responsible to carry out the lines change over in the stipulated time allocated.

• To carry out and record, related product process control procedures & follow work instructions.

• Compile related shift production report requirements.

• Maintain good hygiene housekeeping, safety and discipline in general.

• As is required or instructed, to assist in other duties of the departments or factory operation.

QUALIFICATIONS

BACHELOR'S DEGREE / ITI / DIPLOMA

EXPERIENCE

4-5 years in quality Printing in Metal Sheet.

• Must have good English written and verbal communication skills.

• Technical knowledge relevant to the industry.

• Knowledge of relevant legislation and quality control standards.

• Good Organizational skills and a methodical approach to work.
